I am fortunate to be running a consulting business in the age of AI. My assistant is in Manila. My SEO strategic partners are in Denver. My primary website designers are in London. My independent AI experts are located all over the U.S.
I can hire the best people without geographic limitations and empower them with the latest AI technology.
In the past two months, I’ve expanded to include an AI consulting service exclusively for financial advisors.
Our business has grown, but my workload has decreased. I’m more productive, working less, and my bottom line is growing.
I attribute this positive development to having a great team and the productivity improvements available through our use of AI.
It’s only going to get better.
Here’s what is working best for us (after a lot of trial and error). You may be able to use some of the same tools.
Information gathering
We write website content. Previously, this was a tedious process involving hours with clients who had little time to devote to this activity. They would have to answer extensive written questions or engage with us via videoconference.
With video calls, we would make extensive notes and then have further interactions with them to be sure we got it right.
Not anymore.
We use Otter.ai
Otter syncs with Zoom and Google Meet (the two platforms we use). Unless we turn it off, it will automatically transcribe meetings in real-time, using artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
We can edit and easily share these transcripts.
We can search the transcripts by keyword, speaker, or date.
It even has a feature that summarizes the meeting and provides an overview of topics, slides, and action items.
You could use Otter when you have a discovery meeting where it’s necessary to download financial information from clients. It could change a painful process into an enjoyable one.
You will need to get permission from the other party to record the call.
Turbocharging Chat GPT
Chat GPT has had an enormous impact on our productivity. We use it to suggest blog titles, do SEO research on keywords, outline blogs, and answer countless inquiries.
It has some well-known limitations.
Announcing Our New AI Consulting Service
Integrating artificial intelligence into your financial advisory practice can significantly enhance your services and boost your growth. However, successful AI implementation relies heavily on your AI consultant's understanding of your business.
We understand your business.
Our team of highly qualified consultants understands AI.
It’s a powerful combination.

Its cutoff date is September 2021, so it needs to be updated.
It’s prone to errors.
It’s time consuming to go to a different browser, input an inquiry, copy the response, paste it into another program, and eliminate the background shading.
That’s now changed.
We enabled web browsing on Chat GPT so that our queries include the latest information available on the Internet. It’s easy to do.
Because I found this feature a little buggy on Chat GPT, I installed the WebChat GPT extension on my Chrome browser. I click on the extension, and a web-enabled window of ChatGPT appears. Now I’m confident my inquiries will be updated with the latest information.
I recently installed plugins available from Chat GPT. Chat GPT adds to the plugin list frequently. Some of the most popular ones currently are Zapier, Expedia, Wolfram, and WebPilot.
You can only have three plugins working at any one time.
Finally, I installed another neat extension called Copy for Chat GPT. This extension automatically copies the results of your Chat GPT inquiries, runs them through plagiarism detectors, eliminates the shading, and permits you to paste them into another application (like Word).
This is just the beginning. New tools will be available that will increase your productivity even more.
